This afternoon I risked frost bite in one hand taking video footage of QT2 playing in a hockey match for his GCSE PE practical assessment. It was bitterly cold but I had to keep my right hand glove off to press the buttons. Disastrously I was having to take the footage on my phone because QT1 the absolute camera whizz with the expensive SLR camera was poleaxed by her typhoid booster jab (read the earlier post). Clearly I can’t be trusted with her wonderful equipment so the phone it was because this was the last but one home game and “Sir” at school had said he needed to get the video sent off this week.
Now we have a problem, however. I got a decent amount of footage showing ball skills, lots of running and an attempt at goal (see below). But we have completely failed to get the two videos (one for first half and one for second half) off my phone and onto any device from where QT2 can email or send it to “Sir”. First I tried transferring it to the computer. It seemed to have worked but we can’t open or save the clips. Then I tried sending them by Whatsapp or Multi media text to QT2. That failed. Then we tried to transfer it between our mobile phones and then between my Samsung and partner’s posher Samsung using the WI Fi transfer mechanism. I have tried to send it by two different email accounts. But it just won’t transfer.
Any suggestions greatfully received as we have to get it submitted on Monday….
Oh and by the way, “our” team won 3 – 0. He didn’t score today (although I thought he had, cue embarrassing shouting on the tape and him waving at me mouthing to “shut up, I didn’t score!). So I suppose the frostbite was worth it!
