QTs in action

Hello everybody. QT2 is on NCS (National Citizen Service). This week is the fun part (see @LeicesterEBC for pics!) next week is the grown up part (living in a student flat having the student life, even cooking their own dinner) then third and fourth weeks are the serious business of learning how to set up a charity money raising event. Recommend it to everyone it is a brilliant idea (and of course gets him out of hair and doing something constructive for 5 days of the next 4 weeks).

In the meantime QT1 (now 17 years old!) is off to Peru on Saturday (where did the last two years go??!!) which means our lounge looks like a base camp for Mount Everest including two humungous rucksacks,  sleeping bag,  walking boots and poles,  enough medical kit for an army plus obviously some clothes and obligatory Haribo amongst other supplies.  Somehow we have to get all this into the two bags but she still has to be able to lug the bags across various airports and to the camp at the other end.  Logistical nightmare.   As this is a charity trip she has serious work first of all building community buildings.  That will be followed by a lake trip and a trek up Macchu Picchu (anybody else think that is a Pokemon from the 1990s??!!).  She will be away a whole month!  We shall miss her greatly but what an opportunity of a lifetime.  Shout out for Camps International.
